Do: book an Invisalign consultation
Your first step on your teeth straightening journey is to book with a member of our expert dental team, here in Loughborough. We’ll assess your smile, go over your oral health history and answer any questions you have about treatment. We help to prepare our patients as much as possible in advance, for your peace of mind.
Don’t: worry about the costs of Invisalign
Many people are concerned about how much Invisalign braces and other cosmetic treatments can cost. But we don’t think the price should ever be a barrier to treatment. That’s why we offer 0% finance to eligible patients (see terms and conditions). It means you can get on with treatment – without feeling anxious about fees.
Do: follow your treatment properly
When wearing these braces, it can be tempting to take them out – after all, they’re removable by design. But ensuring you’re wearing them 20-22 hours per day is important to your treatment schedule, and prevents delays and setbacks. This means you’ll need to wear them overnight, too – but the results are worth it.
Don’t: forget to clean your Invisalign braces
Invisalign braces can be removed when you like, which makes them easier to clean than fixed braces that have tricky wires and brackets to navigate. You’ll need to rinse your aligners whenever you remove and replace them, and brush them with a soft-bristled brush and toothpaste to keep them clean and clear. You’ll also have to soak them regularly in denture solution or Invisalign’s cleaning crystals – usually every couple of days. But if you have any questions about caring for your aligners, our Loughborough dentists are on hand to help.
Do: use your Invisalign storage case
Invisalign aligners can stow away neatly in a case to make them great for on-the-go, travelling and even short breaks (like eating a meal). Our dentists say that storing them is always the safe option – it prevents loss and damage, which could affect your treatment schedule.
